What are the benefits of running 2-3 times a week?

Running is the simplest of exercises that an individual can try to remain fit. People resort to running in different forms like short and long distance running. Those who run a sprint may need to do it daily and for a longer period because that may not show any immediate effect on your body. On the other hand, if you prefer to cover a mile and do it 2 to 3 times a week then you really stand to benefit in a big way. This is because you are certain to lose weight at a rapid pace when you run a long distance. In addition to dropping weight in a phased manner, the other big advantage with running 2-3 times a week is that you go on to strengthen your muscles in the best way possible. When you resort to running 2-3 times a week, after a month or so you can start seeing the results on your body, with your leg muscles, in particular, turning firm. However, you need to take into account your age and health condition before running a mile 2-3 times a week.
